Coffeehouse - Am I the only one.... who things Vista Rocks?!

I must say that I like Vista, I have been using it since the 5308 beta.

I am running it on an almost 3 year old Toshiba P15 laptop which can do the full aero experience and on a home built desktop which does not support aero so I use the classic interface.

In the begining the UAC was kind of annoying but that was when I was installing programs and doing general setup to get things the way that I like. But after everything was setup I hardly ever get UAC prompts from just using my computer in my daily routine.

The only real annoyance that I have is the slowness of doing operations on files such as copying, deleting or moving. But I solved that problem by doing these operations from the commandline.

the ones I've received.

Gotcha, so you want a "group by conversations" and an "arrange by date", right? That seems reasonable. Lemme figure out if I can hack Outlook 2003 to do that now

k, that was easy (when you've spent hours and hours in Outlook's deepest menus).

Steps to replicate this, ish, in Outlook 2003 (or 2000, or XP):

1. View > Arrange By > Custom
2. In Customize View: Messages dialog, select Group By
3. In Group By dialog, deselect "Automatically group according to arrangement"
4. Group Items by: Conversation, Ascending, select Show Field in View

Ta-da, done!

Okay, so it's not exactly the most obvious, but that's fairly easy compared to some of the things people ask of me in training classes

If you use the above method and add
sort by conversation index ascending you will get 1 line for each subject and the number of email in each.

Or you could just use the default arrange by - conversation:)
