There are things I've wanted to try for a while on&nbsp;a touchscreen that would be easy to do on the Pro because it can run all the software that's already out there. If I got an RT tablet I would have to wait for someone to&nbsp;write an RT app that does the same thing and there's little hope it'll ever happen.</p><p>I don't see much happening with RT any time soon when it comes to being able to anything other than content consumption. If you want to get anything done you still need &quot;real&quot; Windows.<br><br>I'll have to wait for good reviews and detailed specs to see if it's a good ultrabook as well as a tablet. 			<![CDATA[<p>Great extra information...&nbsp;that was going to be my next question.<br><br>I was wondering if it would disable to registration of the previous OS you're updating from. I'm glad I didn't do it with my Win7 DVD because I'm still using it. Once I get the upgrade disk I'll first try using an XP disk I don't care about. I guess I could also use my Vista disk because it's not like I'm ever going to use it again.<br><br>I actually went to Staples twice already and they didn't have any. 			<![CDATA[<p>I've&nbsp;been reading that the regular tools for measure DPC latency don't give useful results in Win8 anymore because of changes in the OS. Getting low DPC latency is EXTREMELY important for all music making applications which always use ASIO and extremely small buffer sizes.<br><br>Are there any tools for doing this in Win8 and how can they be used to determine&nbsp;the cause of any bad DPC latency?<br><br>For example, I&nbsp;have 2&nbsp;ethernet adapters on my motherboard. If I use one&nbsp;I get very bad performance in professional audio applications but&nbsp;if I use the other one everything settles down and works fine.&nbsp;I would have never been able to troubleshoot this if it wasn't for&nbsp;Dpclat.<br>I see that something named LatencyMon claims to support Win8 now but I'm not sure how useful it is.</p><p>posted by dentaku</p>]]>

		<title>Re: Defrag: Deprecated HW, Deleted Partition, Disabling Right Click Animation</title>

			<![CDATA[<p>When you use the Favorites Menu (the one in the Menu Bar, not the one with the little star icon in the top right) it does disappear after you right-click/delete an item.<br>I can't say this annoys me because I rarely delete stuff from it but I've always preferred that favorites menu over the one in the top right corner.</p><p>posted by dentaku</p>]]>
