OK, I tried RSS Bandit and Sharp Reader.

Both threw up Fatal Exceptions.

I've never used an aggregator before. I thought it would be cool to have a little box on your desktop that alerted you to something you subscribed to, but all I find are things that look like email clients.

Is there such an aggregator that does the following?.......

One that pops up a toast message - much like MSN Messenger - when something new has happened.

Scenario: Your waiting for a reply on a forum, or waiting to hear of any new posts on a forum. Your working away and 'pop' a toast pop-up appears and lets me know that someone has posted something new. Or say, scoble has another video posted up on channel 9.

Anyone know of such an agg'?

The video picture quality seems to have improved.
Scoble's interviewing has improved.
Scoble's 'mad scientist's laugh' seems to have subsided.
Some of the people being interviewed seem to have been smoking pot, as they go "Ummmm errrr, ummm errrrr" a lot.
New forum design is much better. Love the way the videos are handled.
Haven't seen the 'Going Deep' series for a while. Maybe I'm blind
A lot of the videos are of people piss farting around in the hall way. Let's not waste time and bandwidth, hey?

I'd like to draw people's attention to this blog article here http://www.edbott.com/weblog/archives/000844.html

It talks about how MS is softening the rules of detection of spyware in their MS Antispy prog.

It is believed to be the case because of MS buying Claria.

MS did a good job in building confidence in their brand by having this product, now are they throwing this rep down the toilet?

Tell me what you think about it?

At WinHEC, they said MS has removed the 'My' prefix from Longhorn. Eg: My Documents, My Pictures etc

His screenys show the prefix. Maybe MS removed it after that build?

There's a difference with other browsers. All browsers have their security flaws. Right now Firefox has a serious one. The difference is that all browsers, other than IE, are NOT tied to the Operating System. Therefore, to remove a threat, even for a short while, all you need to do is un-install that browser. The same can't be said for IE. Even though you can disable IE from use, it's still there and Windows Explorer uses that same engine. Windows Explorer is virtually the same as IE. Well, since IE hasn't care about webstandards and most/alot of websites were not designed to work in muliple browsers, I guess the internet would be pretty boring, because not many pages would render properly.

Take a look at http://mondays.pwop.com In Firefox.
This is only a minor glitch. I've seen pages all backward and upside down. I've seen pages that don't even show anything in browsers other than IE.

This forum doesn't render properly in Firefox. But it's not too bad. I like the extra buttons you get on the video windows in IE.

I thought Konqueror was great at first, but then noticed that it was pretty bad.

I hate using Opera, but if that was all that was around, I'd guess I'd use that. I don't know what Opera is based on, cause I don't care about that lame browser.

Well, I haven't been overseas to dive. But mainly I dive around the east cost of Aust, and Adelaide ( HMAS Hobart ). Also Jervis Bay is great too. Can be seen from space.

It was just an observation Jorgie, not an argument.
No software, let alone any navigational software is perfect.

It's hard enough to convince someone why they should buy xyz software, then alone something that has some errors mentioned here. I, myself don't think the issues are of any real concern, but the customers do.

I'm dealing with joe public, not IT savvy developers.
So, when someone says, "I heard that this program does this and that, I don't want that piece of garbage", I just have to hum the tune of Microsoft and tell them whatever MS's responses have been.

Well, that bug is an obvious one to notice, but what about paths that aren't immediately noticable?

Eg: That route could of lead the user off a cliff or through a mountain that has no roads, or down a gully etc.

You wouldn't notice that unless you knew the area well.

This is where the consumer loses their faith in MS products. They hear of something like this, and they then find it hard to trust that they are going the right way, and their money is well spent.

No one likes to be lead up the garden path.
