I've been trying out Bing this morning

Forrester Research has a blog post that's indistinguishable from the Bing Press Release.

Interestingly enough I found that by searching - technology and market research - on Google you get one result and on Bing another, curious isn't it?

You know what it's like to wake up in the middle of the night with a vivid dream? And you know how, if you don't have a pencil and pad by the bed to write it down, it will be completely gone the next morning?

Well, I had one of those dreams when I was 23. When I suddenly woke up, I was thinking: what if we could download the whole web, and just keep the links and... I grabbed a pen and started writing! Sometimes it is important to wake up and stop dreaming. I spent the middle of that night scribbling out the details and convincing myself it would work.

The optimism of youth is often underrated! Amazingly, I had no thought of building a search engine. The idea wasn't even on the radar. But, much later we happened upon a better way of ranking webpages to make a really great search engine, and Google was born. When a really great dream shows up, grab it!

Based on discussions so far, it looks like the offer would be to work for Omri Gazitt, or possibly John Shewchuk. We’ve discussed a number of possible roles, most of them focusing on Open Web activities, either advocating their increased and correct use within Microsoft, and/or engaging in Open Web communities on Microsoft’s behalf.

From Apache Software Foundation director to Microsoft interoperability guy, we sure are living in interesting times. Sam's a busy guy, working to inspiring Atom and the Feed Validator and the book RESTful Web Services all cool powerful stuff.

Moonlight, the open source implementation of Silverlight for Unix systems has officially reached its 1.0 level, feature complete, passing all the Microsoft regression test suites.

Moonlight is available as a Firefox plugin that can be installed with a single click from the moonlight download page.
