I'm a developer and have been building a piece of software (webapp) to go to market with. I've done the research and have a ~~beta~~ prototype. I'm now looking for a team to help me build the production system. I have about 6 months time to do it.

It's a .NET project, with a Silverlight 2 or 3 front-end. I would really appreciate someone with excellent coding skills, an architect to help us with the API and a designer for the front-ends.

I'm in Europe and willing to travel to you, hopefully within Europe. Does anyone know a good coding shop or team that can help me out with this?

That would mean you have entries reside in a big table, with tags used for context. I have a couple of questions:

How does this play on perfomance, especially with search, indexing? I have always assumed you can get better querying performance, if you separate the content into respective tables.
Can you post a grobe sketch on the DB model for such an implementation?

I have always separated the content, i.e. forums table, download files table, etc. for added efficiency. But now I wonder if that makes any difference with a modern DBMS. I'm inclined to switch to your approach (i.e. if its not patented methodology :)) and would like to know more about the technical pros/cons.

I want to send feedback to the ASP.Net team about a problem I'm having with the Menu Control. I need someone to confirm whether the results I'm getting are unique to me or if this truly is a Menu Control problem.

I have added menus to a gridview with multiple rows in my application, my clients cannot open some of the menus when they have to scroll down the page. I have prepared a test page describing the "problem".

Can anyone confirm having the same problem? Many thanks.

I installed a USB camera with built-in mic today and since then I could not adjust the volume using the volume buttons on my vaio. I checked the volume controls to see which slider was being moved and to my surprise it was the microphone volume :|

Any tips on how can I regain control of my volume buttons to adjust playback device and not recording device? OS: winxp sp2.

New Channels - Extending Channel9? [New Channels - Extending Channel9?]

I was just wondering what the Channel9 team would think of this idea. I think it would be cool to have dedicated channels for particular topics e.g.

Channel9: Coding, dev interviews, dev demo bits etc.
Channel10: Program managers, evangelists, marketing, upcoming ideas with demos, tips on managing dev teams and large projects etc.
Channel11: VPs, Bill and co. etc.
Channel12: Women in MS, interns at MS, college grads starting out at mega corp. etc.
Channel14: Hardware folks etc.

The list could go on and on. Maybe someone has suggested it before. It would be fantastic to tune in to these channels, that could capture all aspects of the tech world. Kinda extend this great idea that is Channel9.

opps: shouldn't forget this one, a channel for designers!!!
