		<title>Tech Off - IE passing URLs to different browsers</title>
		<description><![CDATA[<p>YES!&nbsp; The exact same thing is happening to me.&nbsp; Everytime I type a URL in or launch a bookmark another browser window (whatever the default browser is) opens.&nbsp; If I click a hyperlink, no problem.&nbsp;

I went back to a restore point and everything was fine.&nbsp; Then it started happening again.&nbsp; Did a scan with AdAware and nothing.&nbsp; I'm thinking that it started again after an automatic update from MS.<br></p>]]></description>

		<title>Coffeehouse - Which firewall is secure and useable?</title>
		<description><![CDATA[<p>I've been using XP firewall with my Linksys router.&nbsp; Both have done pretty well as far as I can tell.&nbsp; I used to use ZoneAlarm but it really messed up Web development so I ditched it.&nbsp; I'm no ZA guru so there may have been settings to avoid my issues but
 like I said, XP and Linksys are doing okay.</p>]]></description>

		<title>Coffeehouse - Always use a DAL?</title>
		<description><![CDATA[<p>I have a real disease when it comes to this.&nbsp; If I don't seperate the DAL properly I get all grumpy and shakey.&nbsp; I mean...there should be some common sense but I never bind a grid to a sqldatareader, never return datareaders to UI logic, etc.&nbsp; Although
 99% of my projects are SQL Server and will always be SQL Server I still can't seem to find the courage to mix the UI with DAL.&nbsp; Stupid I know.<br></p>]]></description>

		<title>Tech Off - Official name of Longhorn (please confirm)</title>
		<description><![CDATA[<p>I'd have to think that MS would want to seperate itself from XP with the new release of Longhorn.&nbsp; Longhorn is, basically, a brand new OS what with WinFX (eventually anyway), Indigo, Avalon, etc.&nbsp; Why would they piggy-back off of an upgrade to Windows
 2000?<br>

I'm sure this is just one idea from some schlump and there's better ideas coming down the stream.<br>
<br>
