Asteroids, C#, 3D and OpenGL
Mar 04, 2012 at 2:10 PMDoes anyone else find it poignant that this project uses OpenGL rather than DirectX?
Microsoft should actively support and promote a world class .NET API for DirectX.

The Office Show: Microsoft Word
Aug 21, 2010 at 4:51 PMThanks for posting the link to Part 4 of the OOXML spec. I have a recent high end 64bit m/c with loads of RAM so even without going to draft mode I can, if I am patient, load and move about this document. I wonder if this document is in any MS Word test suite? One reason I am not sure that it can be is because using "ctrl-click" on any reference such as"(ยง2.18.106)" at the foot of page 296 fails by taking you to the start of the document. Funnily enough the Navigation Header Browser works, as do TOC references.
My hope is that Word could be a platform for building robust large documents, but this example, ironically built by MS themselves to describe a MS Word thing, seems to be a bit of a kick in the teeth. Anyway - over to MS to tell us about viewing/navigating/editing this file in MS Word 2010. I propose that this file (or a fixed version) become the benchmark for serious Word use.
