Is it possible to do this?

I was generating some code based on some meta-data and certain dbtables. I forgot to add a certain attribute to some of the classes but didnt realize until I was running through some tests. Not a big deal since I can just regenerate. Anywho I was wondering though if it was possible to force a class to have an attribute so I could catch this at compile time.

About two months ago, we wrote about how Outlook can automatically expand acronyms <http://blogs.msdn.com/outlook/archive/2009/01/14/living-in-outlook-making-autocorrect-work-for-you.aspx> using the AutoCorrect feature of Microsoft Word. Since it is April fool's day, we'd like to show you how to use that feature against your co-workers for a good laugh!

Traditionally, autocorrect fixes misspellings. You can, however, tell it to change correctly spelled words to misspelled versions or different words entirely! The next time a co-worker accidentally leaves his or her computer unlocked, follow the directions in this post <http://blogs.msdn.com/outlook/archive/2009/01/14/living-in-outlook-making-autocorrect-work-for-you.aspx> and update a few of their AutoCorrect rules. Here are some ideas:

· Names – tell autocorrect to misspell their name. For example, if her name is 'Ashley', have autocorrect change it to 'Ashlee' and watch how many mails she sends out signed with the wrong name before realizing the ruse

· Greetings – many people start mails with 'Hello' or 'Hey' – set up autocorrect to change those greetings to 'Goodbye' or 'Greetings Earthlings'

* Random words – you could also have autocorrect change normal words – 'the', 'this', 'today', 'Wednesday' – to other words/phrases that wouldn't make any sense – 'dog', 'Russia', 'the 4th ring of Saturn is blue!'

Keep in mind that not everyone will find this funny, and you should never make autocorrect changes that could get anyone in trouble. Also, be sure to keep a list of the changes you make, this way you can undo them tomorrow.

I have been on a hiatus from .net for a while so I'm hoping I just missed the obvious. From a type passed into a method I am trying to create an object of this type in the method....so

public static List<IEye> GetSomeStuff(Type myType)
{
object = myType
}

Inside the method I am doing some refection based on the type passed in and I want to return the List of <myType>.

Everywhere I go on msdn (downloads, training, ect) I'm having to fill out some information, am I just having a bad day or has something changed?

What is great is that you can hit cancel to bypass it but then go to : https://learning.microsoft.com/error.aspx Its a trap!

I am not exactly sure how just buying the search will work out with the other yahoo services. One thing I am unsure on is how in the hell is a search engine worth 20B. How are they able to put a price tag on the search?

I just ignored it for the last couple days but finally did a search and found a discussion about it:

To fix it you have to go into Advanced->Use HTTP1.1 through proxy connections

I am impressed that while most sites just have layout issues, google causes the site to not work at all. I guess for IE I will tryout live.com for a while.

Well it seems Cablevision won a case where the tv shows would be left on servers instead of the consumers local cable box. While the system is not available I wonder if this would allow you to access your recorded shows from anywhere. I am just waiting for the day where all tv shows will be on demand.

I ran into a situation where I needed to give exec permission to a user for 100+ sps. After a google I found a few scripts that would do this, problem solved. My question though is what is the best practice in sql server 2005 for users and exec permissions to sps. This seems to be a bit tedious so I feel that I must be doing it wrong.

For those here who work in corporate is uploading company documents to the "cloud" allowed? If Mark from marketing uploading some internal docs to the "cloud" what type of guarantee to you get from the "cloud" owner that this is 100% secure? Are there agreements that under no circumstance no one will have access to your docs except for the actual "uploader"? I guess I have a hard time believing that the "cloud" will ever be relevant to the enterprise.

I use IE on my work PC and have noticed in the last couple of weeks I always get errors when trying to log on to gmail. I did a google search and found that I am not the only one:

It is quite clear to me that Google is doing this to annoy IE users enough to switch to firefox. Anyone else run into this issue?
