++ awesome discussion!
I would echo those thoughts as well. he was better advocate for the Oopen Source world then any other advocate out there. well spoken, well organized and very understanding of both "sides" of the issue. HOpe too see hime more on here.... been a while since
I wathced a video the entire way through.
So Adam is leaving to work on the Silverlight team? How wierd is it for someone to leave a group and still work next door?
Does that happen a lot at MS?
Wow, what a great video.... Very interesting and enjoyable. So much for a marketing site. That really blew my mind as well. THanks for such a great job on this Charles... You rock
Really enjoyed this interview. Especially the section when you all talked about Datacenters and measuring them in megawatts instead of square feet. I wish there was more information on the MS datacenters to help counter the whole Google rocks!!!! and their datacenter is teh b0mb!!!!
I just wanted to let you know that I really enjoy these converstations, even if I don't quite understand everything discussed. I think you do a great job keep the discussion moving and also helping us to understand a complex topic.
Another great converstation. Is there a tool that is available like the one Mary mentions that shows how much time I'm spending in IE or Email or something like that for the public? I would use it to make sure I stay on task, sounds great and would love
to try it.
Its an interesting discussion on different desktops. I think that's why I haven't been impressed/needed some of the cool things in Vista, Gadgets/Sidebar, etc because I don't like anything on my desktop and 99% of the time my screens are full screen and
I just alt-tab between them and go the entire day w/o seeing the desktop background. In fact sometimes I don't even change my desktop background from the default screen
But as soon as Microsoft would buy the best everyone would scream monoploy and MS would then be right back in the same area. People want Microsoft to purchase and use the best products but as soon as they do everyone criticizes them. Funny ain't it ?????
