Part 26: Saving User Preferences
Nov 08, 2012 at 10:25 AM@Ariel, bob is right that you will need to tweak the template. With Blend this will be straight forward. I am guessing the brush you are looking for in the template is ToggleSwitchThumbBackgroundThemeBrush .. I recommend you alter the template and replace it (instead of altering the brush).. but either will work, just make sure you do it within the scope that only alters your controls (with this brush it might be safe since it is very specific to toggleswitch

Sep 19, 2012 at 11:49 PMHi Bydia,
I have passed the feedback on the 100 to the product team.

Windows 8 Developer Opportunity
Sep 19, 2012 at 4:09 PMMouhammad, the tools for WIndows 8 are free...
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-US/evalcenter/jj554510.aspx?wt.mc_id=MEC_132_1_4
You can get a 90 day eval of windows 8 and that is usually enough to write an app
The tools are free all the time, you can get them from here:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/apps/hh852659
hope that helps..

Sep 19, 2012 at 3:38 PMDaniel Dacey, thanks for the feedback.. I have passed it along.. we are definitely working on some of the items you are mentioning ... The platform definitely has a lot great features so I would advise not to discount it for the short term.. You can write some great apps in this release.. there is lots of them in the sore already...

I just fixed the link (thanks for heads-up, I had internal staging link so when I tested it it worked for me).
I will try to get some AR demos when we cover sensors. Can't guarantee it but will try.

Inside Windows Phone #03: Optimizing Windows Phone Silverlight Applications
Sep 03, 2010 at 4:17 PMIDWMaster, sockets support has not been announced/committed. It is a very common ask, so I am sure it will be prioritized highly.. Unfortunately we are just getting done with the current release and have not completed planning for the next releases, so nothing to announce at this point..
