May 28, 2011 at 1:29 PMHey Ben,
I just fixed the link (thanks for heads-up, I had internal staging link so when I tested it it worked for me).
I will try to get some AR demos when we cover sensors. Can't guarantee it but will try.

Inside Windows Phone #03: Optimizing Windows Phone Silverlight Applications
Sep 03, 2010 at 4:17 PMIDWMaster, sockets support has not been announced/committed. It is a very common ask, so I am sure it will be prioritized highly.. Unfortunately we are just getting done with the current release and have not completed planning for the next releases, so nothing to announce at this point..

Windows Phone Design Days - Applications
Aug 16, 2010 at 6:48 PMSilvercrux,
I am going to have to go with "None of the above" .. Pivot and Pano will come first. Microsoft has announced these will be in core platform by RTM (but afaik we have not share the timeline for RTM)..
As I mentioned below, not all controls have been committed yet. We know from customers what to tackle for next round (and I hinted of them) and my best guess is that your "4 weeks" is still earlier than we are planning .. We have to get these controls to a good enough quality before we share them.
Sorry I can't share more specific details. The Windows Phone team will announce timelines as soon as they can. I will try to nag them about it often..
Windows Phone Design Days - Audio
Aug 15, 2010 at 2:58 PMHi mdtauk,
Out of the box right now, it is not possible for you to reuse the sounds. There is no way for a SL or XNA app to get to those sounds.
I do like the idea of packaging the sounds and letting developers use them, similar to what we did for icons. Can't promise (so don't hold me against it, but will send emails to the right people and see what they share. Thanks for the suggestion.

Windows Phone Design Days - Applications
Aug 14, 2010 at 9:41 PMHi mdtauk,
Tese controls will be available in the near future as part of the "Mobile controls toolkit".. For sure context menu, date & time pickers, ToggleControlSwitch.. Quick jump grid is still a to be confirmed but at a minimum we will have a good enough sample that we are using in production apps.
