isn't the shared stuff too simple in nature? It is a a glorified copy and paste.

And you don't think that's a good thing? Copy-and-paste is a fundamental tenet of an O/S and I'm excited about anything that takes that paradigm and extends it (you might call it glorifying) - which is what contracts do.

Can't believe you guys are talking about a Sync API for syncing app settings and claiming it as your own. That was supposed to be the whole premise of Mesh  when it first appeared. Go and find Charles' C9 interview with Ori Amigaif you don't believe me

Please slap Angus Logan around a bit until he promises to release a Sync API for us

At the end Brett remarks that the SQL Server team have announced that Pivotview will be in the next version of "Analytics (sic) Services".

Can someone point me to this announcement please?

Live Sync (or, more accurately, Windows Live) won't have the same API as Live Mesh. Similar, but not the same.
