Coffeehouse - Bing on the US TV show the philanthropist

Any one see the add for Bing on the show the philanthropist? I was watching the show, it cut to advertising. A commercial comes on with a girl gazing upon the beautiful picture displayed up on Bing on her computer. She comments that each day she gets to
imagine she is taken away around the world to these wonderful places featured on the site. Then her boss comes in and says come on lets go. But wait, its not a commercial, its still the dang TV show. And off the two go to Nigeria. Interesting and catchy way
of advertising. Trick me into think I am watching the commercials but yet its still the tv show. Any one ells get sucked in?

Coffeehouse - The Psychology of Incompetence - Ron Burk

It is my personal incompetence that has frustrated me so much. I have been hit over the head by that glass sealing so many times my head hurt. I try to gage better what tasks I am capable of doing and do those instead. Like what tasks did I hit my head
against you might be wondering. Oh, how to solve world hunger and the clean water problem in a time frame of a year or so. It’s a very hard task. Needless to say, I was very incompetent. But I did my best and gave it my all. If I had given it any more I probably
would have died. But fortunately I am here and realize my incompetence.

Coffeehouse - New Trek - Well done!

I have a question regarding the movie. When the evil Romulus ship first came threw the blackhole/anomaly it looked like a “storm in space”. Then when Spock came threw the anomaly 25 years later, again it appeared as a storm in space.
Those are the two times the anomaly occurred. So my question is. As the enterprise approached Vulcan a briefing given by Chekov said there appeared to be a storm in space but there was no such anomaly that occurred with the drilling of the planet. Was there
a 3rd anomaly or is there a plot hole here? Maybe ill have to see it again.

hmm. Interesting. I don’t pretend to know how to run a country. But I do know a little bit about relationships. I think it’s good to show respect. I think its fear that drives us to put up walls and pretend to be superior and unbendable. I think it’s sad

Coffeehouse - Mathematics of Free Will

Free will? From life experiences and serious evaluation, it is my hypotheses that free will is an allusion. One state is predicated by the previous state or combination of states. A person’s decision
making is a chemical make up and the firing of Neurons in the brain. Life experiences can play a role as one factor in dictating a person’s response in decision making. Things are just complex enough to look like things move unbound.

and the next MS thing comes out I'll switch. The only time I open up IE is when I am working with an enterprisey app.

Coffeehouse - Non-Photon Space, possible?

If one gets rid of the friction caused by air it is much easier to go faster than the speed of sound? And your reasoning is, if you get rid of photons/light you will be able to travel faster than light. Well I’m not sure if that is how it works. but i
like that your thinking. you might try your questioning at this other forum. http://www.physicsforums.com/
