Remember the post, where we announced Build 2012?
BUILD 2012 will be on the Microsoft campus, and I know what you're thinking ... if it's not in some cavernous convention hall, then it must be a dialed-down version of last year's event, etc. ... but don't be confused: this will be unlike anything we've held on our corporate campus in a long time. More details to come
.Now you know what we meant by this. It will be a great event here and also on Channel 9.
Fun times... The team is working like crazy and can't wait to see you all.

I am at a loss for words. In the weeks leading up to the launch of Channel 9 we did not know precisely what our content would be. We were working late, getting the site ready to go live and Bryn Waibel, one of our original developers came running down the hall saying, "there is only one space after a period!". "This is it, this is our content".
I thought he had lost his mind, but he went on to say how you have to see this video from Bill Hill and how he goes on to say how Windows is not the most important OS, not Linux, nor the Macintosh. We went to Bryn's office watched classic Bill Hill on Bryn's machine and we then knew what we'd show. Those videos became some of our first content and drove us to where we are today.Thank you Bill. Bless your soul and thank you for your time with us here.
We are indebted to you. Heavy hearts to Bill's family.-Jeff

@jeffsand: thanks for this. managed to watch the keynote a couple of hours after it finished. Although, I think somebody needs to work on the Streaming Server config, as it hit buffering quiet a lot

We're sorry about that. We have made many tweaks with our upstream provider and from reviewing Twitter and our app logs appear that issues have been resolved. If you continue to have problems please let us know and make sure you tune into tomorrow's keynote.Lots of great new stuff and plenty of representation from folks you've seen on Channel 9 before including many folks from my team in the final 20 minutes.

See you all tomorrow.

I'll second the request to get the downloads available ASAP. Keynotes especially. I had planned to finish work early to watch them live, but sadly that isn't going to happen.
I'll be happy if I can stream it from the beginning a few hours after the keynote is finished.
You got it.
The plan is within 24 hours to have a streaming version *and* downloadable versions too. You should start seeing the breakout sessions tomorrow morning (9:00 am PST) and the keynote later today. -
Keynotes will be streamed live at http://live.visitmix.com
Be sure to tune in on day 2 where some members of channel 9 team will have a significant role in the final 20 minutes of the keynote.
All keynotes and breakouts will be available here on channel 9 in the events area within about 24 hours.

The Coffeehouse has always been a forum for Channel 9 "insiders" it ebbs and flows as users come and go. Individual posts here definitely doesn't get the traffic compared to our videos (a few thousand views for a popular coffeehouse posts versus 100,000 + for a popular video) and that is ok.
One of the things we've been thinking about is using the Coffeehouse as well for announcements about Channel 9. Like we did for the Ninies or for Channel 9 Live at Mix. The next step is being able to push these types of threads to the top of the homepage on Channel 9. We're coding up a simple way to that right now so we can give visibility to these posts on the homepage and also be able to do it for things like our new event session content too.I love the coffeehouse and being able to chat with you all. I think it is important for us make sure people are aware it exists and can join in too.
