What bothers me more is that this is pretty much the same tired old user interface that debuted in 1995, which was 17 years ago.

Is there some rule that an HTML/JS developer is not allowed to be a WPF/Silverlight developer as well? It is ludicrous to argue one versus the other, because you can do both.

Why didn't they leave the old behavior alone and make the new one require holding down the Shift key?
