Emily Rimas - Tablet PC Education Pack revealed
Nov 07, 2005 at 12:24 PMAgain, in our mixed educational environment of tablets and non-tablets, any of these cool tablet educational apps that could have a non-tablet option would help with the education part. This is our first year of tablets, so we are three years from being completely tabletted.

Emily Rimas - Tablet PC Education Pack revealed
Nov 07, 2005 at 12:10 PMI'm the educational technology director at Forest Ridge School in Bellevue. We've been doing laptops in the classroom since 1996 when we were part of the pilot group in the Microsoft Anywhere Anytime Learning program.
In any event, we introduced tablets to all of our new students (primaril;y 5th and 9th) and all faculty this year, and are having great fun experimenting with the pen.
I'd love to share some of our experiences. An immediate request/question. The "ink flash cards" are a hit. Any chance there is an app that we can install on non-tablet PCs so that students with can share with students without. Sort of a "Journal Viewer" approach for the flash cards.
We are also having fun using GoBinder with our 5th graders. We considered OneNote, but felt it was "too over the top" for our middle school/high school crowd (we're a 5-12 school).
Would love a contact with someone on the inside to share our educational experiences with the tablet and these enhancements. A visit here could be fun!

Meet the new Mobile PC Team (new Tablet PC features too!)
Nov 07, 2005 at 12:00 PMI'm interested in a contact within this group to discuss some of the education applications. I am the ed tech director at Forest Ridge School in Bellevue, and we are using tablets with our students.
The education pack is great. I'm immediately curious if there is a "ink flash card" app for folks without the tablet to still be able to view and construct cards. Sort of a "Journal Viewer" app for flash cards for the non-tablet PC.
We have other great ideas and expereinces using tablets. Please contact.
