Make him look INTO the video, and not out of it, for starters. And maybe write "Channel9" to the left of him in white with a little bit of a dropshadow directly beneath the text, x = 1px, y = 1px - will probably look much better.

You guys should zoom in a little when you're in web-view of a video. Showing the Silverlight player in the page is great, looks cool, but you should zoom in a bit more so I'm not watching only 20% of the screen with a bunch of non-important stuff around it.

We understand. I didn't think the sound was so bad in this one... At any rate, yes, we will be upgrading our audio set up for use in high noise situations.

These interviews would be so much better if Microsoft would pony up the cash to buy a lapel microphone or something that removes background-noise. It's so frustratingly painful to listen with all of the background distractions.

Ch9, please invest in a wireless background-noise-canceling microphone set. You are Microsoft for crying out loud. I'm not asking for a fully-produced video etc, just clean audio...especially when you go to these large conferences where it's difficult to hear the interviewee due to the other voices.

I love this video - not necessarily for the content, but for the presentation. The content is good too, but I'm a C# developer The video is great because it FINALLY gives us a clear view at what is being demonstrated while keeping an eye on the presenters themselves. Beth, perhaps you could take over video-production for c9 too Haha.

This was an awesome video. The first demonstration was excellent, I really loved that. The second, meh, not too impressed with it. I mean, seems a little 1995-ish? What I think of here is seeing my math teacher from middle school doing algebra on the over-head projector. Writing on the projector as his silhouette is cast upon the wall. I really don't see this as much of an improvement over that.

But, the first demonstration is amazing! Rory, as always, love the personality and the "realness" about your enthusiasm! Keep up the great work!

We pretty much all had that problem. If you copy the download location from the "Download" option, and paste it into Windows Media Player, it'll buffer and play with video and audio

Rory is out of town right now, or else that strapping lad would have already gotten us taken care of I'm sure

Excellent show, but you guys have got to kick-up the quality I was listening on my iPod while shopping at Walmart and I was struggling to listen to Spolsky's responses, all the while hearing somebody typing very loudly in the background

Production quality is pretty low, but the content was superb! Very nice work guys. I look forward to hearing more in the future.

Lately I've been an iPod + Podcast junkie. Is it at all possible to get an RSS of audio from the videos? Some of the videos deal with on-screen code, yes, but for the most part I just love listening. If I could subscribe via iTunes, and download the latest shows in audio format, that would be awesome! Not to mention the fact that iTunes would probably attract more attention over here at c9.

Boyd mentioned that in order to use XNA, and write code on your 360, you would need to know C#. Is that exclusively the XNA favored language? Or will VB guys like myself be able to play in this parkt too?
