What does your app plan on doing when GC comes along and blocks access to your audio buffer for 10 milliseconds? What happens when the jitter decides to re-gen your IL code?
I agree with Larry. When it comes to "real-time/low latency" processing, forget about a managed environment. Just do it the old C++ way, dont be lazy
Right now, all the major sequencer apps (Protools, Cubase, etc...) are written in C++, and I don't think any of those folk have any plans to move to a managed environment.
