I told my bf that I don't like to programming, and he promised me that he won't let me do what I don't want do in next year, and he already has a business plan on convenience store, this is the most warmly words I never heard before. He told me lots of things about his plan which contain of tons of business terms I don't know, but I like it. I knew I have a stronger motive for making money, but also knew I am lacking the necessary knowledge or stupid in business, so I think my position should be for help my bf, and take care of him, but sometimes I wonder he will leave me or not when he became rich, even he said love me. I don't want to make a beautiful bottom drawer which is not for myself.

At least 2 years I think, because 1) my computer may able to be run on Vista well, but I cannot image how could I working with others softwares(like VS2005) on Vista; 2) the new stuff not always is the best stuff, Symantec has reports it's security bugs, and I think MS need a long time to make things done; 3)we as developers should foucs on the root of things, not just for a new UI, the Vista SDK for XP is good enough; and 4) I wonder the rest of people(customers of mine) are ready for the new stuff - Vista.
What about you?

This ideas is from an article(Chinese) that blame Chinese education system which wrote by a famous American Chinese student who is graduated from Yale University.
The author said Peking is Chinese first class university(一流大学),but Chinese students prefer HongKong university,even they were admitted into Peking university(the points that admitted into Peking University is 661(science) and 626(liberal arts),and HongKong University is only 657(science) and 625(liberal arts)).He also said the most important reason is HongKong universities provide huge scholarships (about 13 million HK yuan) that attract more top students from mainland China.And point out the disadvantage of HongKong universities now is students don't have a quality, even their professors are excellent.
Here I want to know is only rich people be able to study in frist class universities in US, just like our teachers said?? or you guys need pay huge money for studying in college?

First, you guys should tell us what's the product, and the history of product, or what makes MS to developing such a sutff, then I'd like to know some unpublic tips of this stuff, I also liked to hear you guys talk about its competitor, final, I want to know what's the next generation of this product.
It's just a thought(or call it Draft), what do you think?

We all knew Google's Chinese name is '谷歌', is there necessary making a foreign name for Vista?
Windows Vista's directly translation is 'Windows 景色' or 'Windows 眺望' and 'Windows 展望'.

I just wonder why map does not require us to provide a hash function, so I read the source code of the map, and found it's a kind of heap sort, I guess that's why the map is a little bit slowly, is it ture with System.Collections.Hashtable?

Content is the key of media, and C9 Videos owns it, I knew there are people who have no time visit C9 , or 'laze' to download so many huge videos from C9, so I think people will need a special DVD edition of C9 videos, which is sort by date or tag...and also can play it on any type of DVD Player.(don't forget make a nice DVD menu;))
I would like to know people in here whether want the C9 Videos DVD or not?

The new "Reset Internet Explorer Settings" feature of IE7 is cool, but when an Add-on cause my IE crashed at startup time, how could I reset IE settings from Internet Options which is inside IE7? so I think the great feature should be in the Control Panel or others place, then I am able to use the featrue even I cannot open the IE7.

The big reason is the compatible of .NET framework 2.0 and VS2005.
.NET framework1.0 and 2.0 can install on the same machine, but I can not debug the ASP.NET project on the VS2003 when .NET framework 2.0 has installed. VS2005 also can open the projects from VS2003, but VS2005 cannot collaborate with VS2003 well, imagine that I would be get ton of problems on VS2005 when most of my team members used to VS2003. Of cause, there are ton of small problems such as inefficient… Hope there no such a problem on .net framework3.0 and Oscar.

Our team has came a new project manager who knew a few knowledge in programming, and he always think our team member (most of developers) used to wasting time in a work day, and like to say something likes 'Are you kidding me! You said those simple functions requires two days to writing, one day is enough', its ok, every manager used say that, but I think his code review method sucks, because he thinks whether or not hard work you are is depends on how many new lines of code you wrote.
Of course I knew the 'public secret' of our team which is 'if he asked you how long you can finish the current working, then told him that the actual requires time * 2 + 2 days' with new rule 'never reuse the code when you can copy it into you current working as new lines of code', but I am uncomfortable in this way, because I used to wrote code as short as possible, and I don't want to change my not bad habit, also I dislike overtime working, I just want to did my duty and get pay from this, then I can focus on my own business.
What should I do?

When I am younger I have heard very limited information about The Korean War from olders, this time is the first time know about the war, after watched the US movie I think North Korean made the war, also General MacArthur don't know about Chinese history at all, and made the wrong decision for move near Yalu.

My option is the money now, I am thinking of business almost all day, but still cannot clear figure it out, any advices? He wants me leave Shanghai to HangZhou where he are working at, I have not ready to live together with him, and leave a familiar environment to a strange place, so I said I won't, but later he told me he prepare to give up current position(Building architect) to find a new job in Shanghai for me, I don't want he pay too much for me, and don't want he get hurt, so I said I don't worth you do it for me, but he insist, now I don't know what should I do.

MS Office is a necessary part of our working, and there are more than 50+ employee in my company, that means we need install the software at least 50+ times. So I think a Web edition Office Server which doesn't require install anything in the clients that is useful to a big company, then we can typing 'http://OfficeServer/Excel' for use Excel.

Not long ago, the government has blocked Google for helping Baidu be a poplar Internet Search engine, Baidu also provides an 'illegal' Internet service - MP3 online search service, still survived,http://mp3.baidu.com/. Today, I finally knew why the government wants Wikipedia die, see Chinese version of Wikipedia launched. Here I want to know is Baidu broken the laws of US? Something like Law of Unfair Competition?
