That's suprising. Maybe now would be a good time for Microsoft to consider an aquisition of Nokia, so that they too can build their own phones (and tablets).

Just noticed that WP7 phones are crazy cheap now. In Germany I could order one for around € 250,-
or even as low as € 172,- if you don't mind the Vodafone branding
And that's without a contract.

We need nuget for Windows, not just for VS

That really seems to work! Currently updating my Optimus 7, hopefully it's not bricked afterwards

@Ian2: I had the same problem with my Optimus 7. I had to send it in twice for repair and it took almost 2 months for them to understand and repair the problem. They told me that they had to change parts, so it seems like a hardware problem.

Speaking of updates, does anyone know if we also get new APIs with the upcoming update? New end user features are all nice and stuff, but one of the biggest complaints from developers are the large holes in the API as compared to the iPhone.

<sarcasm>Bob Muglia leaving? Does that mean Silverlight has won?</sarcasm>

I really don't understand what "WPF is dead" should mean. Silverlight and WPF are basically the same technology (XAML + Code), they just happen to run in different environments. So what the guy probably wanted to say is ".NET desktop apps are dead", but that is clearly not the case.
Regarding Silverlight and HTML5 I happen to agree with http://team.silverlight.net/announcement/the-future-of-silverlight/
Silverlight has it's specific uses, and there it is currently a much better choice than HTML5.
