Hi,

I have a very strange problem coming. I have done this many times in the past but this time it just doesn't seem to work. I have a picture box where i display an image. Now i want to save that image into the SQL CE database. It has a field Pic1 with Image datatype. I want it to be saved there.

If anyone has any clue how this thing will be done please reply back to this post. If u can provide some appropriate code, that would be more useful to me. Please, any help from you will be appriciated.

I am using SmartDeviceApplications for Pocket Pc where I want to use a datagrid which can be modified, like we have the property to datagrid.readonly = false in Desktop applications. If you have some source code snippet, please send it over. It is a very urgent requirement, so any help will be appriciated.

I should be able to modify rows in a datagrid from the datagrid itself instead of doing it programatically.

Do v also have other work arounds, If any please let me know.

I have created an application in vb.net. where i have used all / every way to transfer data to an access database. Download the code and you will be amazed to know that the recordset is the fastest of them all. If RecordSet is the fastest then why did ADO.NET come into existance. Any reason why do we use dataset over recordset(disconnected).

If anyone is able to find a faster code than this please let me know. But do remember to only use ado.net or ado.

Hi,

I am trying to pass an integer value from .NET CF to evc4 ATL Com dll function through <dllImport> attribute. As soon as i Pass this value this value is converted to 0 in evc4. For eg: if i am pass an interger value 7 thorugh .Net CF, then i receive an interger value 0 in eVC4 dll function.
Can anyone help me find the reason for this behaviour. Below is the signature for both functions at both ends:

In eVC4 Dll function defination:

Hi,

I have created a dll in eVC4 using ATL for signature capture on PPC. This dll needs to be called from .net, when i am returning a char* from eVC dll, all I get is the address over here. I have tried Marshalling and others but nothing seems to help. I am still not able to see the string but only the address to the returned value.

Can any one suggest any thing that I am missing. Every thing is invited.

Dispose and Nothing keyword [Dispose and Nothing keyword]

Lately i have come accross a very strange behaviour of the dispose
method. But before that can anyone tell me the difference between the
Dispose method and calling Nothing. Can one replace the other.
Now the problem:
I created a datatable and filled it with some rows using dataadapter.
then i accessed the rows, which worked fine. But even if you call the
dispose method of the datatable, and then try to access the rows in it.
You will be amazed that it will still show the rows. This behaviour is
very strange and now has put me in a state of confusion.
