Surely that where Google Android comes in, litigation via Oracle withstanding?
There is absolutely nothing that WP7 offers that Android does not at present, and it is aesthetically pleasing. I like the metro design, but the droids aren't exactly an eyesore. The multi-touch is fantastic, and the text rendering is gorgeous (something I'm still yet to be conviced about on Silverlight)
Yes there is a greater developer-base for WP7, but what tools do hobbyists have to create WP7 applications?
I think an expression blend express is long overdue, the longer a key component like that is unavailable for the bulk of developers and hobbyists, then the harder it will be to play catchup
The developer tools for Windows Phone (which include Visual Studio Express 2010 for Windows Phone, XNA Games Studio 4, Expression Blend 4 for Windows Phone, and the emulator) are free. You'll be able to download the final release of the tools this Thursday.
http://developer.windowsphone.com/
Hobbyists may download and use those tools to develop apps for Windows Phone 7.
For pros that already have the commercial SKUs of VS or Blend installed, app templates, documentation, etc. from that same download will be added to their existing installs.

64-bit device drivers have been a Windows Logo Program requirement since it was revised for Vista.
I've been using this Encore adapter since Windows 7 was in Beta or RC:
It was around $17+shipping when I got it. It doesn't appear to be available for less than $40 now.
I use the chipset manufacturer's drivers (Ralink RT2870) - driver-only install, and have never had a problem on Windows 7 x64.
http://www.ralinktech.com/support.php?s=1
This AZIO adapter also uses a Ralink chipset and is currently $20.
@Beatbuster - The wg111v1 uses an Intersil PrismGT chipset. I could not find a Windows x64 driver for this chipset. The one on Netgear's site is 32-bit. The other versions of the wg111 use Realtek chipsets, (RTL8187L for v2, RTL8187B for v3) so their drivers won't work with your v1.

One thing that I don't like about the search in 7 is that you need to know all these words, like for example "kind". I would have never guessed that "kind:picture" works after all. It's hard to discover, in my eyes. It's powerful, that's for sure, but still hard to discover.
It would be nice to have a UI that gives me all these keywords so that I could build (by clicking on checkboxes, or something similar) the queries. And I mean all keywords and not just some of them, like the current drop down does...
Other than that I'm really happy with the search that's included in 7. It's fast, seems to use less resources and I quite never use dir /s again

The properties you may filter on are right in Explorer.
Any of the metadata names can be used as search filters. You can use the column dropdown controls to filter without having to remember the term to type. You can also right-click on the column header, then click More... to see all properties supported by that version of Explorer (or check the file properties dialog for metadata specific to that type of file). If a property name is composed of multiple words like Date Taken, remove the space, so you would type datetaken: in the search box.

Well, i was looking for something more automated

You might check www.pdfsharp.com for XPS->PDF conversion. The latest build includes a converter preview.
For going the other way, I haven't seen any free tools. You may be able to use PDFSharp to open the PDF and XpsDocumentWriter or System.Printing to convert to XPS.

It appears they simply didn't add .PNG to the list of filters for the Browse dialog in Personalize. You can type *.* or *.png in that dialog so that PNGs show up. However, you can also just right-click on any PNG in Explorer and choose Set as Desktop Background.
