Site Feedback - Painfully slow video downloads

Guys the video content you have on your site are really awesome and great but the streaming & download speeds are terrible... I have seen a few threads with other users experiencing the same problem. Speedtest says I have a 8.42Mbps connection with 15ms ping (I am located in Sydney, Australia)... should be enough right? Do I need to change some config somewhere or some other settings to get a decent speed happening? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

[Edited to add tracert info before anyone asks]

Tracing route to mschannel9.vo.msecnd.net [70.37.159.141] over a maximum of 30 hops:

  1 1 ms 1 ms 1 ms 192.168.1.1 2 15 ms 17 ms 17 ms nexthop.nsw.iinet.net.au [203.215.19.247] 3 17 ms 31 ms 16 ms te1-1.syd-mas-bdr2.iinet.net.au [203.215.18.20]

  4 18 ms 18 ms 18 ms te1-2.syd-mas-bdr1.iinet.net.au [203.215.20.153]

  5 18 ms 17 ms 13 ms xe-1-1-0-0.syd-mas-core1.iinet.net.au [203.215.2 0.94] 6 17 ms 16 ms 17 ms p12076.syd.equinix.com [202.167.228.36] 7 17 ms 17 ms 18 ms 10gigabitethernet5-1.syd-xmx-edgcom-1a.ntwk.msn. net [70.37.149.50] 8 17 ms 18 ms 17 ms cds10.syd9.msecn.net [70.37.159.141]

Trace complete.
