What with Vista SP1, 3.0, 3.0 gold, 3.5, XP SP3, Orcas Beta 2, etc, etc it really would be nice to be able to easily find out what versions are on a machine with both XBAP apps, Forms, and Silverlight.
Kevin suggested that this kind of code would be forthcoming???
But great video. Love to watch Kevin and Sneath play off each others thoughts.
This screencast and the one done this week regarding workflow between EGD and EID are very helpful in showing how to incorporate custom controls into WinFX projects. But I'm having problems with getting it to work well in VS2005.
Everything works fine if I stay in EID. But the design-time interface in VS2005 is not working. Is this because the Orcas extensions are too rough?
For example if I add the control in VS2005 by editing the XAML code, the project compiles and runs but I can't see any of the user built controls in the VS toolbox, Intellisense doesn't work, and the build generates lots of errors about missing assemblies even
though I have added the control dll as a reference.
So VS2005 compiles and runs but the design environment is not very good. Am I doing something wrong?
