    Use this link instead: http://www.microsoft.com/silverlight/silverlight-4-launch/

You can watch the Channel 9 Live broadcast from there as well Smiley

    AH Sad Thanks for Info.

@Dovella - the code isn't public at this stage and there is no alpha/beta/trial program.

I've asked the guys to let me know if this changes and they end up making the bits available; will pass on any info I get

  • Channel 9 Live at MIX10 - How Did We Do?

I liked the bits that I've seen. Especially for devs that can't make it to Mix due to time/money/geographical constraints this is a godsend, like Ian2 mentioned.

I wasn't able to see the entire thing though, and I was wondering if the C9 Live bits are available on demand. I can find videos for all the keynotes and sessions, but not the C9 Live segments. If they're not available, why not? If so, maybe something can bedone to make them easier to find.

Also, I saw a whole bunch of interesting questions posted in the Coffeehouse thread, but not having seen all live segments, I don't know which ones have been answered and what the answers were. Maybe all questions and answered that made it on the show can be gathered and written down in some C9 blog post to make them easier to find.

I noticed, by the way, that there were subtitles available during the keynote. It'd be amazing if you could textually search for stuff that was said in the keynote, and get directed to a certain point in the keynote videos.

Also next year I'd like to see more people get shot in the nads with a cannon.

@Bas Thanks for watching. Boths days are available to view on-demand. There's a button/ad on the front page of Channel 9 pointing to the on-demand streams.

    Here are the direct links:

    Day 1: http://channel9.msdn.com/Live/MIX10/Day1

    Day 2: http://channel9.msdn.com/Live/MIX10/Day2

We covered most of the questions submitted via the coffee house however we didn't have enough people/time to respond within the thread. We're trying to come up with a solution that allows us to point people to their answers in the stream so they know that their question was answered and when the question was addressed.

We're also looking at adding closed captioning (subtitles) for future live events... it's quite expensive but it would be a great addition.

Re: cannon shots to the nads... great idea; I'll make sure we have this on Clint's calendar.

@Ian2 Awesome. Will let Duncan know that we need to add Natal support to the Rev 9 spec Smiley

  • Adobe is now resorting to magic in the new Photoshop

Nope; not a joke - it's called Seam Carving and was first presented at SIGGraph back in 2007

  • Channel 9 Live at MIX10 - How Did We Do?

Hey Niners, did you all get a chance to watch some of the Channel 9 Live at MIX10 coverage and tweet us your questions?

If so - what did you think? I'd love to get your feedback to ensure our next Channel 9 Live event is even better.

    Cheers -Nic

  • Ubuntu running on a HD2

    ....That's not an HD2... That's a Touch Pro 2... right?

Would be interesting to see it running on an HD2 - the screen on that phone is gorgeous!

Will Microsoft sell unlocked developer phones similar to what Google does with Android?

Great question - Can you let us know who the question is for though so we ask the right person?

I'm assuming Charlie Kindel and/or Joe Belfiore but let us know anyway. Cheers -Nic

Will the questions be easily locatable in the on demand video video's ? If the stream has been running for 5 hours and I want to know what questions have been asked it would be nice if you could click the quetion on the webpage (next to player) and let the player jump to the location it is answerd.. (But then somebody must be taking notes on timestamps)

It would improve the on demand stuff. I can't watch all the time but if I'm home it night it's nice to know where i need to scroll to. Last time different guests were makers on the timeline, that was very good!

@CKurt That's a really good idea and one we've been discussing. We definately have the ability to add markers to the video stream - both live and on demand - however we haven't yet nailed a solution for capturing the time stamps for each question and then adding them to the stream without creating a massive ammount of clutter. It's a problem we hope to solve for future events.

We will have markers for the individual sessions though so you can jump forwards and backwards through the stream based on which sessions you want to watch.

  • Channel 9 Live at MIX10 (Post Your Questions Here)

Greetings Niners, for those of you not on Twitter (and for the anti-Twitter-ites) please use this thread to post your questions for Channel 9 Live at MIX10.

The Channel 9 Live at MIX10 schedule has been posted here (I'll be updating times with GMT offset soon)

We'd love for you to have a look through the schedule, work out which sessions you want to watch and start sending us your questions in advance either via Twitter (@ch9live) or by posting them here in the Channel 9 Coffee House.

Tips: Don't forget to tell us who the question is for and if you're providing additional info/context please bold the actual question so it's easier to identify.

Please note: We wont be answering your questions in this thread. You'll still need to tune into Channel 9 Live (http://live.visitmix.com) from 10:30AM to 5:30PM (PST) on March 15th and 16th - or watch the on-demand recordings afterwards - to see if your question was answered.

We hope you enjoy the show!
