  That's true, admittedly I hadn't considered such a case, only thinking about in scenarios where e.g. memcached would work. Isn't caching a bit of a wrong term for such use however?

  To me that sounds like you're trying to add reliability where there shouldn't be any; The cache layer. A cache is volatile; If stuff is gone, or it expires, you repopulate it. Leave reliability to the database, it's very good at it.

  Is it not possible to make the player hide the cursor when fullscreen? Neither silverlight nor flash seems to support this, is it a limitation of the browser or something?

  Gotchya.  I wonder why the beta and not c9 classic?  Maybe because the word beta is in the url?  Maybe because of using javascript?  hhhmmm.  I'd like to know why. 

  
  
  Probably because of 'beta'; Channel 9 as is already uses javascript in the form of postbacks and the community bar, and I kinda doubt they'd block js in the first place, let alone have specific knowledge of asp.net postbacks
