No, I'm not a "busy guy working with many companies". I'm just a regular tech guy who has deployed hundreds of commercial applications during my life. Do you think it's too difficult to recognize a messed up installation?

I do that Charles whenever is possible, but I was not talking about me.
Most of the software industry "big-names" (not to mention 99% of shareware vendors), ignore these guidelines when designing their products deployment.

Cool libraries?

You won't loose something usefull; BCG libs aren't the best ones. Although I'm happy with Microsoft's desision to bring MFC back to life, I wonder who had that "brilliant" idea to bundle the specific toolset with MFC...

I really enjoyed this video, it's nice to know that "real" developers are still necessary today, even for "boring" stuff like Windows kernel.

Thanks to Singularity team, there is still some hope for managed code. Even though we have to wait a few years for a true managed -> native compiler.
