Do I stand alone?  Does anyone else find this very limiting?

Nowadays I pretty much use LinqPad and only SSMS and SQL when I have to.  Linq is definitely not an improvement with outer joins.  For most everything else I do, Linq is more efficient to develop.

I'm trying to subscribe to North American Tech Ed 2011 event but it doesn't look like the videos are embeded in the feed, am I seeing that correctly?  For example shouldn't there be additional data about the video for TE101?

I'd like to use a service like CDNTwo.com and my Roku to Watch the event.  Is that possible?

Any time frame on that release btw?  I'm not looking for a specific date but is 3 months, 6 months, next year, two years?

Nope, I've been watching Channel9 for a few years now.  It's a great resource, especially the "Deep Dive" sessions with the hardcore software engineers.

Currently I'm experiencing fairly slow down rates.  I'm trying to watch videos via my Roku and it keeps rebuffering every 2 - 4 mins.

As a test I started the download of a WMV file and it seems fairly slow, around 80KB/sec.

I also performed a bandwidth test on http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/ Download Speed: 8350 kbps (1043.8 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 1861 kbps (232.6 KB/sec transfer rate)

Is it just me?

Is there a way to subscribe to a feed in a language specific way?

(Nothing against other languages, I only speak English!)

I wish there was a Channel9 Channel for my Roku.  Anybody have any idea to create something like that?

Anybody else experiencing this?

Any guesses on where the problem lies?

If I remember correctly, the C9 team can't send emails because the LiveID signon doesn't provide the email address but only the authentication value associated with it. That wouldn't stop them from using an email field in the profile though... (email address ownership must be approved of course)

Good point, we can use RSS.

While this solution would work it requires too much work for me.  I personally want something quicker and easier.  I personally would much prefer email.

An email alert seems to be a fairly standard feature on Discussion boards across the web.

If I post a comment on a video add an alert for any subsequent comments.  Same for discussion board threads.

A few weeks ago I ditched my iPhone for an Anroid Motorola BackFlip and ability to multi-task is priceless.  I didn't know how much I wanted/needed multitasking until I had access to it.

Same thing for forum posts, correct?

Is there any plans for such a feature?
