1. Do we still have to wait 2-3 years for the next major version of IE?
2. What are your thoughts on releasing it a bit more frequently?

I have been using T4MVC a long time now. Love it !

Good thing that the Channel9 is making people more aware of it.

I hope it is even faster than 8.
I hope that it doesn't crash when a tab freezes.
I hope it remembers settings better.
I hope this is more of a performance release than an enhancement release.

I hope they don't put in unnecessary features like "Web Slices".
Focus on important things like Security, Performance, & Standard Compliance (CSS3 and ACID3).

What would make it very cool will be **rich** AddOn eco-system like FireFox and some neat UI personalizations.

I have NOT watched the movie clip yet.
However, V8 was developed by Google and we are seeing a video of it on Microsoft.

Can someone who watched this tell me if it looks like Microsoft will integrate it into IE in the future?

This was a really amazing cool interview !!! I loved this interview.

I wanted to ask one thing tho...Any word on the WinFS?

Is it going to see the light of the day in Windows 7?

Or has it been abandoned?

Or moved somewhat under the next version of Microsoft SQL Server?

Or what happened to it?

Yes.

I know a lot about ACID2 by now , there isn't anything there that would depend on choice of font...

Thanks Alex! This makes me very happy to get confirmation that it will pass ACID2 across other Serif type fonts.

That will make the web pages a lot more beautiful and pleasing to read.

Will IE8 pass the ACID2 test if we change the default font from Times New Roman to Cambria?

I tried changing the default font to Cambria on Firefox 3 Beta and Opera.
Firefox 3 renders it a bit off and incorrect.
Opera seems to be rendering it properly.

I am going to be very sarcastic here to let my pent up frustration with the "Shut down" button being hidden...
I say they need to go do some more research...

Ahh.....now I feel better after letting that out of my chest...
