Hello, 

I upgraded my Laptop Toshiba L500D from Windows 7 Home Premium (x64) to Windows 8 Pro (x64) a few days ago, then I realized yesterday I could not connect to WiFi connection. I have tried search on the internet how to fix it, but no luck. Here are the following list I have tried so far:

1. Update to latest Driver by going to "Device Manager", click right "Realtek RTL8187SE Wireless LAN PCIE Network Adapter" then click "Update Driver Software...".
2. Go to Toshiba Website, download "Realtek Wireless Lan Driver" for Windows 7 (x64) and install it by running in Windows 7 compatibility mode.
3. Go to BIOS, by pressing F2 before Windows 8 loaded, and enable Wireless Communication.
4. Troubleshooting "Network Adapter (WiFi)" and it gave this advice: 

"Turn on wireless capability

Use the switch on the front or side of the computer, or function keys if available, to enable wireless capability on this computer." 

1. Go to Settings -> Change PC Settings -> Wireless, and I got this: http://img694.imageshack.us/img694/2959/62721723.png 

How am I suppose to switch it on, if the switch is disabled? The airplane is also off, so I suppose the Wireless switch should be enable so I can turn it on and off, but no, the wifi switch is still disabled. 

Any advice will be appreciated.

Anyway, what I like from the new ads is the click sound . It also implies how easy to attach your keyboard even by running and jumping around. Everyone can use surface, from students to elders.

You are confusing selling with advertising.

Advertising tries to pursuade potential buyers that they want to buy product X instead of Y.

Selling is finding out what product the potential buyer wants to buy, and then sell it to them.

Advertising creates the pull-through that good selling can then capitalise on.

i.e. If advertising has convinced the market they need Micro-SD in their phone, you'll have a tough job trying to sell them one without it.

This is what I think difference between advertising, marketing and selling.

The main target of advertising is to let people know what you are trying to sell. Some people might interested, others might just ignore it.

Gathering information on what people want is so called as market research.

And lastly, selling is an action to make people buy your product. I, once, had job as a salesman, only a month though, knocking door to door trying to sell electricity even though I know most people hate to switch to other company. It is definitely not a fun job, but still a good experience.

Don't forget about when people want to buy WP, the staff will keep pitching about how good is Android or iPhone. This is what I call as selling.

Does anyone know how to do unit testing for image processing? For instance, I have a function for blurring an image but I'm not sure on comparing the expected result with the actual result.

There is no author tag (<author>Author</author>) in intellisense, so how do you specify author on documentation?

There are some buttons which images are not visible if I'm using High and Contrast (Left Shift + Alt + Del) setting on my pc. I have to hover each button to know what it is gonna do. Not only that, it is happened on main page as well.

I want to develop an app for WP but I'm still a noob. There are many apps out there on marketplace that retrieve data from websites, such as Weather Apps, Social Apps (Facebook, Twitter), Feed Reader Apps, etc. How are those apps get all the data and then send all the inputs, which users put in, back to the server?

Is it also the same process for desktop apps as well? Do you have any recommendation book for this kind of topic using C#?
