What is the true value of Architecture? Some people believe that there is little or no value to the process of building the architecture prior to building the software. Developers have obvious value – you can see the output of their work in terms of lines of code, working modules etc. but how do you quantify the work of the architect? Of course no one would dream about building a multi-million dollar building without architectural plans. The bottom line according to my guest today Andrew Macaulay is that architecture saves money. What do you think?
