At about the 12 min mark, yo mention just installing UR2 and the widgets are there. That's not entirerly true. To get all the widgets you need to add a few MPB's from the "management packs for update rollups" folder. They are NOT JUST THERE.

Thanks for the post, let me clarify. You are right that there are other steps needed to install Update Rollup 2, which are documented here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2706783 under Installation Information.
These steps do include:
Assuming that the UR is installed successfully following these step, then the MP will just work, there is nothing else needed to "turn it on" besides restarting the management server console.
