Is there any MDM functionality that Intune provides beyond what is available with SCCM?

Intune seems to mirror the capabilities of SCCM, what are the differences between the products in the latest releases of each?

SCCM by itself can only do basic EAS-capable functions whereas when you add Windows  Intune you get primarily the direct (mobile) device management capabilities.  

SCCM vs Windows Intune - They definitely have overlap in their capabilities and to a certain extent you can think of Windows Intune as cloud-based extension of SCCM.  For the differences and details, I'd recommend attending the free Windows Intune Jumpstart course I'm teaching: http://aka.ms/InTuneJS

The end-goal for the Company Portal App is certainly to work on all platforms, but we naturally focused on our own platforms first.  Windows Intune still allows you to go to the company portal website on MSFT + iPhone and Android to sideload applications.
