How do I download the videos?

  • To download, right click the file type you would like and pick “Save target as…” or “Save link as…”

Why should I download videos from Channel9?

  • It's an easy way to save the videos you like locally.
  • You can save the videos in order to watch them offline.
  • If all you want is to hear the audio, you can download the MP3!

Which version should I choose?

  • If you want to view the video on your PC, Xbox or Media Center, download the High Quality WMV file (this is the highest quality version we have available).
  • If you'd like a lower bitrate version, to reduce the download time or cost, then choose the Medium Quality WMV file.
  • If you have a Zune, WP7, iPhone, iPad, or iPod device, choose the low or medium MP4 file.
  • If you just want to hear the audio of the video, choose the MP3 file.

Right click “Save as…”

    I'd just like to reiterate how much I'm enjoying the "Going Deep" series. I'll probably never have practical use for the IO Manager, but it's good to know what's going on behind the scene. It's like reading the Petzold book on how to program Windows the first time.

    This “Going Deep” series is amazingly helpful. It adds a lot of depth to my overall understanding of the technology for which I am developing solutions and strengthens my technical knowledge, which is helpful when discussing business solutions with clients. It also gives me additional arguments when competing with other technologies for those same clients. (The performance discussion was particular helpful.) Thanks you guys!

    Yikes - please stop with the ink. I know it's cool to write it out, but consider this

    - Reading ink is like reading words in all caps. Our brain is so attuned to reading normal computer text that it has to shift gears to parse the person's handwriting and understand what's written.

    - I bet you could have typed that out faster

    I know this is OT and should belong on that thread about C9's ink support - but couldn't resist when I noticed how I stopped scanning through the page when I came to Charles' handwriting and read it carefully

    Re: accessibility and crawlers; recognizer-enabled clients will store alt and title text with the ink image...

    Try using that thing with all the buttons with alphabets and numbers on them Smiley

    The point is that I have a Tablet and inking on it is more natural than typing. c
