It was a flawless web keynote for us. Everything worked, and Jonathan didn't need to change a thing.

Good sneak-up on Drew Robbins and his Orchard demo.
I should have taken some the morning of the keynotes and shown the atmosphere, the rehearsing to the wall, the makeup people, and the goofiness that we all had

Jiew - Hey now, to be clear, Demos aren't faked. However, "dependancies" meaning, things that could BREAK a demo, like if Twitter was down or something, those are "mocked out." We call the same APIs, but the results are local, rather than from Twitter. make sense?

Scott, I'm amazed how much control you have over your nerves on the stage. You literally own the satge and audience. I've never seen you nervous. Just fact that you can pause, laugh and make jokes, proves you're in control. You even crack joke at Gu sometimes.

Interesting. Why? We (the generic development world) are pushing customers to be more dependent on 3rd parties all the time.

I think it's very proffesional that measures are taken to prevent that we as an audience might miss the key point of the demo. Software can fail, especially when it depends on a lot of factors. I really enjoyed the presentations Scott did, it was fun and informative. He has a great presenting style, very relaxed on stage, very cool to see him at DevDays in the Hague yesterday!
