The update looks good though, can't wait for Channel9 to get this tech.
But please do something smoother than just breaking and uploading stuff when you upgrade C9!
Why is this not on the frontpage?
Since we're going to setup a beta site for you all to check out before we release and can get your feedback, the site will already be running so it will just be a matter of flipping the switch for the beta site to turn into the production site. So no worries there.
We're planning on doing a bunch of videos like this (but much shorter) as we progress through the Channel 9 update and show you guys what's going on behind the scenes.
We goofed around for most of the video. Probably not quite as appropriate as the rest of the great Channel 9 content.
Cool. I like the "liveness" of it.
We'll film Shipping the 9 Update too.

Second-ed and Passed!
IMHO C9 should *NOT* be at all a "formal" thing.
Video from the MSFT folks (and others who may add to 9)
should be as much as possible "real, over the shoulder, take 20 while you are working to chat" style of content.
I Like the feel of the "Here is the hall of building [nnn] and it's the [yyy] part of msft and here is [zzzz] who is bulding [aaaaa]
and the person has to ask "is this for softies or outside?"
and even may say a tiny bit they should not cause we are hearing about it the same day as the press page gets it!
LIVE, REAL, PERSONAL, CONVERSATIONAL
thats my C9!
I'll bring my Dance Dance Revolution pads to work next week and we'll kick it. That'll be a good video.
And when you say, "The whole thing is just tags and entries", do you mean tags as in <tags /> ?
As for "all entries and tags"...no. We mean tags as in tags. Meaning instead of coming up with new constructs over and over that have very similar ideas, we decided to just use tagging for everything in the site. When you view a blog, you're actually just looking at all entries that are tagged with the tag representing that blog. Same thing for forums, etc.
