Great show! Paul sure beats Laura at throwing nine-guys at the camera ^^

There should be some AJAX thingy on the page, so I dont get taken away from the show when I click login and I want to start writing a comment, its sooooo annoying =/

Annyways, I sure can't wait for the BUILD conferance, I allready put a note on my calendar that day =D

    LMAO Big Smile

Surely you remember meeting and hanging out ... it was just a few months ago! Or are you two that famous now that you forget the "little people"? Big Smile Also, Christian (Littleguru) won the award. It was a great night and you two were both awesome to meet and hang out with; I hope we can again sometime. If either of you are in Ottawa, look me up if you're bored.

I've watched every episode of Ping, and I follow both of you. I don't comment too much I guess; sometimes because I'm listening at work, and sometimes just because I end up reading the links etc..., but often it's because I over analyze what I'm writing.  That makes me a horrible blogger/tweeter, etc..., because I want to get everything right.  I've tried blogging in the past, but I feel the need to double-check all the links, find supporting evidence for the claims made, and so on.  After a while it can become a big effort.

I will often leave a comment unposted for a few hours and go back and think about whether or not I should just post it.  Perhaps it just boils down to shyness, and a fear of looking stupid in front of your peers.  After writing all of this, I so want to just delete it.  See what I mean?  I have the same problem with emailing at work sometimes.  A bit of OCD, perhaps?  So usually, I'll just say, "great show" or something, if anything.  Plus I always rate the videos I watch.  I don't get why people don't rate the videos very often.

  • Does Ping have enough active followers for you guys to reach 500 new followers each?  Maybe you should get some funding from one of the marketing departments and go on a C9 campaign trail, complete with a bus Smiley

It would be cool if C9 helped DarkSilence out by auto converting binary->text.

    @lfoy he said:

"with me living in China I can assure you that RenRen intergration is a great idea. Will windows phone 7 also have an intergrated experience with Weibo (Twitter of China)? Tip for Paul: Create a Weibo account and Chinese people will follow you randomly. (I hope this is allowed!) You might still win the race!"

I smell a WP7 app that converts comments to binary here! @Laura: maybe you should cover it (or ask for it) on Hot Apps Wink

I smell a WP7 app that converts comments to binary here! @Laura: maybe you should cover it (or ask for it) on Hot Apps Wink

Hehe, when an idea is given to me, I can't stop thinking of making it xD

No, I have not made a WP7 app, but a C# Windows Form Application which converts text to binary and binary to text. (Thanks to some guy at an old MSDN post for algorihm for text to binary and vice versa)

Anyways, I optimized the algorithm so it does not eat as much memory as the original code. On the other hand, it uses A LITTLE BIT more CPU usage, but you can barely notice the difference (~0% CPU usage), so therefore I took the decision to make it use far less memory than the original algorithm.

The program can copy the binary and text to clipboard by clicking on the "Copy to clipboard" under the text box where the converted text or binary appears. You can also make the window stay topmost by checking the textbox.

But enough chit-chat, let's get to the code!

The code can be downloaded here http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?03pea5dho2eh32d

Compiled version can be downloaded here http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?t0lg9nqitqt8o1n

Here's a screenshot of it in usage: http://i.imgur.com/uuB1w.png

Have fun sending each other binary messages =D
