    4th dimention is time Smiley science claims there are other dimentions as well, but humans are not able to understand those. Time is simple though. Imagine the 3D-space of Paul camping in Halo with a time-line above it (like in theatre). When time is moving, Paul would hopefully (not) move Smiley

    Hi guys

    Loving the show, the wpdemo is good, but doesn't give me the full picture, like can you copy and paste telephone numbers and paste into the phone app etc etc?

    There are 5 presenters on The Gadget Show, not the two you mention (also the image you used was quite out of date). The current presenters are:
    * Suzi Perry
    * Jason Bradbury
    * Jon Bentley
    * Ortis Deley
    * Pollyanna Woodward

  • so guys even bother with 1080p (24 hertz)i mean come on it is the hd default for blue ray guys!

  • are you guys serious!canada retarded?i think you guys are duer for a trip to canada,contrary to precived belief it is like snow!no it doesnt snow all year long so for techno yes we re probably a little too advanced for ms so they wouldnt know since we re way ahead of us!hell often industry use quebec as beta ,and they find dam it already exist there !

  • SergioSergio_TheOne Be kind to one another!

    Hello again... I'M BACK!

    On the whole Nokia thing... It's pronounced (Finnish pronunciation) [ˈnɔkiɑ] .... ehem... good luck with that.

    4D: The dimensions r Length, Breadth, Depth & Time (which encapsulates movement, animations & anything else that requires time to occur). Although just on a side note, we should conceive that an infinite number of dimensions do exist, so we shouldn't be surprised by 4D. haha

    Like @Dentaku, I'm also a long time viewer, pretty much since the beginning but I watch it on my Zune client so I DIDN'T KNOW U COULD COMMENT until recently... dumb moment... sorry!

    Laura asked if I could think of any product launch that compares... well.. I BET THE WHEEL LAUNCH was pretty sweet! Just imagine...

    WOW! guys if u want 2 get shot while playing a game, I could just shot u while playing a regular 1st shooter game, I charge u just $80... That's just the kind of friend I am!

    Much Love!

    But seriously, many parts of Canada probably ARE ahead of most of the US.
    So there Tongue Out

    Basically, when cell phones started to become regular everyday things I was already getting too many calls from people who needed help with their computers and such. Getting a cellphone would just mean that more people would be able to call me.
    I would get home from work and have to do more work because stupid people keep messing up their computers and I would have to help them.

    In the end I just told everyone (even if they would beg) that I've given up doing that kind of work but I still haven't found a phone I would want to buy. When I'm outdoors (which is allot) I don't want to be bothered with a phone.
    The Lumia 800 is the first one that I wouldn't mind having.

  • By the way, Laura just showed that she might be a true geek by showing something found through Scott Hanselman. I love listening to him on This Developers Life and he's one of the first people I added on Google+. I don't know when he finds time to sleep.

  • I think that was the first time I laughed out loud watching a channel9 video. Paul, that P2i joke is golden.

  • Amazing stuff, when you get featured on Ping! - You know you've made it, it is the highlight of my 19 year life. No ping table this week? Paul is 100% right on Nokia, I'd like to just put that out there - and add this to the neverending debate.

  • CraigHeadxepwn @CraigHead

    Along the topic of streaming music from your phone to the laptop... Laura and Paul have you seen the HUGE thing of controlling the Zune media player (on the PC) with your Windows Phone and your voice?

  • I used "whacked" has a double entendre. The first meaning was in the Whitney Houston-Diane Sawyer-interview sense or something being "out of whack". The second meaning, when I said "de-whacked", was a reference to "whack" as a synonym for "slash". IOW, the URL was "whacked" because it was missing a "whack".

    BTW, LOL @ Bob's indignation at being nitpicked about the error.

  • BTW, here is a story about some kids that won a scholarship for $100K (split between the two) for their project using Kinect to analyze human gait.

    However, the big story is the young woman who won the individual $100K prize for her project involving nanotechnology for the cure of cancer. Big whoop, huh? Wink

    Paul, don't believe that you guys had anything in Time's Squore, although that would have been cool. Try again. I'll look if you do have anything in Time's Square.

  • Hey Paul,

    There's a Windows Phone app that's called "Spanish For Noobs", you should check that out !

    I'm not kidding Wink.

    Good luck,

  • In Science the 4th dimension might be time; however, Hollywood makes up their own rules to entice us to fork over our money. In movies, the 4th Dimension is a 3D film with audience interaction or physical effects.  This can be in the form of laserlights, strobes, water, wind, seat movement, etc...

    One excample of 4D would be. Someone sneezes in the film and from the chair a little spritz of water hits your face. You've entered the fourth dimension.  Or the seats move during an action sequence again 4D.

    I believe the closest place for someone living in the Pacific Northwest to experience 4D is Disneyland or more specifically California Adventures.

    Hey,Paul, I've got a question for you.  I also have an HTC Trophy.  When I watched this episode you mentioned that you got something from HTC called the Connected Media app.  It sounded good and so I downloaded it.  I've gotten into it, but am not entirely sure how to use it.  For example, when I get into it and look at anything, like photos, music, videos, etc, one of the things listed there is "media servers".  In my home network all I have is a NAS (a Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex Home external HD).  This is OK, and I see things on my NAS, but I guess I was expecting more.  In this episode you mentioned being able to control the music playing via the Connected Media app.  I just don't see how I could do that with what I've got.  In your situation do you have something like an XBox?  What is it, exactly, that you're controlling through that Connected Media app?

  • Ask Michio Kaku about the 4th dimension.

    I use my phone to control my Windows 7 PC's Windows Media Player.  Just open up Windows Media Player and enable "Allow remote control of my Player"... and then open up the Connected Media app while you're on the same network and voila.

    Here is the help documentation for more details: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Getting-started-with-media-streaming

    If this isn't enough to get you started, let me know and I'll write up some more details.

    Typical Big Smile I think living in Canada in a small town is relaxing. Hard to get a job there, but living without a cell phone and internet is more comfortable. FB is just a virtual pub.

    Thank you, Paul, I'll give it the ol' college try.  If I have any problems, I'll get back to you.  On a related note I wish that the same thing would be possible with the Zune software, but I guess it isn't.

  • the 4th dimension is AWESOMENESS!

  • Doctor WhoDoctor Who Picture is of Tom Baker, who played the Doctor, from 1974 to 1980.

    @Paul II: Well, I tried, but it didn't work.  I'm in Windows Media Player.  I cannot click on Turn on home media streaming, because it's not there, so I guess that means I've already turned that feature on.  I've going into More streaming options... and selected Media programs on this PC and remote conenctions, and changed it to Allowed.  then I got onto my HTC Trophy and brought up the Connected Media app from HTC.  I tried going to the Music | media servers, but it doesn't find my Windows 7 machine.  (It finds the Seagate NAS drive fine, as I mentioned before, but now my PC.)

    So, I give up; what am I doing wrong?

  • so if you spray your clothes how are you going to wash it after? LOL

  • BTW it should actually be 5D - 2D for the building surface plus the 3D animation. Or even 6D cause the building was curved. =)
