Any plans for MS to control a Windows 8 based system from SmartGlass? If not suggest it. I would like to have a Win8 computer connected to my HDMI monitor and sit on the couch and control it with SmartGlass.
Looks like Paul likes to drink Wine
MYTHLY!
Blimey I've not heard Paul talk so much
Skype works well for messaging but I preferred the look of Messenger sadly.
Microsoft has always been cool.
I love SkyDrive (got me my free 25Gb too) but there are still a few tweaks needed especially a sync version for RT and selective folder syncing. Other than that, it is awesome.
Mythly plug! I love it. $5 please for my marketing services. Or a niner, whatever works for you.
Also I agree about Xbox Glass pointing/swiping difference. Has anyone notice a similar issue with the Skype app? When you use the rear camera, the image is backwards in the "view finder".
Bleh, I never liked the UI on Skype. Its so bloated and full of stuff you don't need. MSN was always simple and was made for IM. Skype if for voip. So for me, MSN will be deeply missed, so many memories from my childhood, including MSN are my initials
What is Mythly written on the wall behind Paul? Is it some sort of secret message to someone in Microsoft?
Mythly is Paul's new company...it's no myth.
Laura & Paul,
I had to use a LOT of ice to bring the swelling down... My head was huge after watching this episode!
While Channel 9 is popular among developers, I would have not discovered this show or Channel 9 if I wasn't a fan of Microsoft. I'm not a developer, I'm a Microsoft junkie. More importantly, I'm a tech enthusiast who thinks Microsoft has been doing some great things since 2009. Besides doing this show on Channel 9, Microsoft should push to have a "5 minute with Microsoft" segment on CNN, MSNBC, FO...., er, NBC's Today Show, etc.. And of course, Laura and Paul HAVE TO HOST.
Again, thanks for breaking it down so working middle-class slobs, like myself, can understand what's new with Microsoft
If you get bored during the show, play spot the 9 Guy.
Can you guys & girls do the multiple feed thing like on the Microsoft Research videos>
So we can switch between Paul and Laura, or maybe just have Paul full-screen.
Ha! I was wondering if somebody would notice! Maybe I will continue planting Easter Eggs.
I want Channel 9 on the Xbox 360.
Yes, the iPad vs Surface add is really well done but notice that the iPad is being used to create music while the Surface is just playing music.
In other words, we need serious tuch enabled music creation apps for Windows RT/8.
I already know about Jordan Rudess' apps that should come out soon but there needs to be lots more AND MIDI in and out support on all of them.
You can watch Channel 9 videos on Xbox 360 using Internet Explorer. Turn on your Xbox 360, go to the Internet Explorer app, type in http://ch9.ms (shorter than channel9.msdn.com), and click on a video. For full screen, click the download link on the side of each video. I do the High Quality videos and they "just work"
Brilliant.
