Welcome back! I started to get worried that there would be no more Ping D:
And thank you Google for ruining my Youtube in Silverlight project, which used the H.264 codec
@IRB: Where would I interview looking like that??
I think it is time for Microsoft to jump on the H.264 Google mess and promote the Bing videos area. They should upload massive videos telling the world of Google's intentions. Might be worth some % points.
Should Google completely remove all support for H.264 on YouTube it could be seen as "evil" and would also hurt its competitors - but having a 100% free and open standard for Web video has to be a good thing, long term. The shockwave of removing H.264 from YouTube would be interesting to observe, however. It would be bad for video quality of pre-WebM videos though; I can't imagine a zero-loss conversion between two lossy formats and YouTube has too many lo-fi videos already...
@Paul II: Not where, but when... 1973?
Hmm, maybe some new boy band.
why did you not throw the channel 9 guys at the camera this week.
@Philip Saunders: I was too dehydrated. The Channel 9 P.A. didn't get me enough water.
