Kevin Ashley, founder of CloudOlap, a cloud-based BI solution, chats with Karen Forester from PlatformVision.com about Business Intelligence (BI) in the cloud and specifically addresses business cases in the financial industry, giving examples from investment banks and hedge funds. Quoting a Gartner study, Ashley notes that 60 percent of BI projects fail on time or budget and provides insights into how Microsoft Windows Azure can improve BI implementations. Ashley explains why his company is moving its cloud offerings to Microsoft Windows Azure and compares it to the Amazon EC2 Cloud environment.
