In this episode Matt Hester interviews Jason Buffington about Microsoft Data Protection Manager Version 2 (DPM v2).  DPM v2 blends the best aspects of continuous data protection (CDP) with traditional tape backup into a single and reliable data protection solution that enables IT administrators and end-users to rapidly and reliably recover from seamlessly integrated disk and tape.  DPM v2 was specifically designed to protect and recover SQL Server, Exchange Server, SharePoint Portal Server, and Windows file services.  Jason talks about the underlying technology and how combined with Microsoft’s experience in Windows Server technology, DPM v2 provides a technically advanced and comprehensive data protection solution for the most demanding Windows environments.

Plus we have our monthly segment with Kai Axford and Mark Griesi from the Security Response Team, discussing the January Security Bulletin.
