Love it! Great content too! Just too low quality
Great premier episode.
Improve the sound, lighting and hair styles.

They want to avoid that 8.3 filename truncation.
As the RoundTable technology evolves so too will the quality of its output. This is not a ReadyForPrimeTime device. Not quite yet, as you can see.
It'll get better,
C
Here are some ideas as to the things that I am interested in.
1) C# team heads, + VB.NET team heads, discussing future of the .NET framework, did it achieve or reach the potential it was made for? Areas of improvment, adoption expecations versus actual restults. Did it basically live up to its expectations. Also what will come in C# 4.0, and VB.NET next.
2) How Multi-Core processing will affect the way we write applications. In the past decades , most people were not dealing with multiple threads in their applications. How will this affect C# and .NET in general, and the programming model in particular, and how transactions will come to play here.
3) Future of cryptography: As we have more powerful processing powers, what are the new stuff that will make online experiance secure and private?
4) Windows Vista design challenges and unexpected bumps during development. Where does Windows stand on security now as compared to its previous versions. Also, what about the content protection technology, is this bad or good?
5) How will online experiance , the web , will evolve. What are new visions that MS has that will make the future more interesting than it is already.
6) Software Technology meeting Biological Genetics: Basically bioinformatics and how software will simplify understanding of biological function at the gene level. What MS is doing to improve this growing field.
It would be very interesting for me to at least get one of these topics talked about in the Technology roundtable with Mr. Hess.
PS: Its nice to see Channel9 going to the next level in terms of content.
I think this is a VERY good idea, and it works very well. The conversation seem very fluid, and very real. I like how the camera works.
The camera could be a bit better quallity. But works.
PLEASE bring us more!!
I would like to see some VB.net and C# stuff. Like:
1) Get a few vb.net guys in, and ask what they see as the future for VB.net, since many programmers seems to dislike VB.net very much, and think it crap(Which i disagree with).
2) Discussion on AI in operative systems
3) Discussion on the average use of the computer. We see it now, as a common tool for people to search information, and not long ago, people learned about ebay, and general buying stuff on the internet. Also picture storage is a hot thing. What is the next big thing, thats gonna be a big success in the homes of normal people?
I would like to see those too!
The video quality isn't as good as I'd like it to be, you've got to remember that while the other C9 videos are using high-quality digital camcorders, I'm using what is essentially a glorified web-cam. So while I think once we get on the final hardware, and get into our "studio" where we can better control the lighting, things will be better, the core C9 videos will always be of better quality.
That's the price. The benefit however, is that since the RoundTable camera is automatically doing the switching from person to person, I can do multi-person interviews without having to have wild camera swings, or try to do timeconsuming post-production editing together of a multi-camera shoot.
I'm looking forward to having a deeper level of involvement with C9 moving forward.
"Technology Roundtable Episode 1"
These are all GREAT ideas! Thanks!
What I'm looking at doing is working on a method to support auxillary input sources and be able to dynamically switch those in during the recording. Clearly having a way to include display output of demos and such will be important moving foward.
Great Ideas! Keep 'em coming!
Who are these self important guys?
Where are the cool videos where we see real people talking about the products they work on?
The rest of the cool videos not about "fake" people are here.
[This post was generated by a PC pretending to be a human]
I'll be excited to watch the "Revolution" unfold. Time to go watch the video!
