Great extra information... that was going to be my next question.

I was wondering if it would disable to registration of the previous OS you're updating from. I'm glad I didn't do it with my Win7 DVD because I'm still using it. Once I get the upgrade disk I'll first try using an XP disk I don't care about. I guess I could also use my Vista disk because it's not like I'm ever going to use it again.

I actually went to Staples twice already and they didn't have any. They also only had one touchscreen Win8 machine but it was password protected so I couldn't even try it the way it was meant to be used.

posted by dentaku

Regarding Bing App on Windows 8 Pro, on right click why only 'Set as Lock Screen' is enabled while 'Copy link', 'Copy', and 'Save As' all are disabled. Anyone else having this issue? Or is it US only feature?

And regarding Windows 8 Pro upgrade, I was not clear what Gov explained. So for upgrading Windows 8 , one has to install Windows ver then only follow the upgrade path? He said something about just enter Windows 7 key but later activate with Windows 8 key? This is while installing with Win8 Pro upgrade DVD?

Also once we upgrade, the Windows 7 Key becomes nullified! Means we NEVER will be allowed to install even on that same machine if we format Windows 8 upgrade and want to install our Windows 7? Or is it that we are not allowed to install on other machine once we upgrade to Win 8 pro?

Can anyone clarify, please? Thanks.

Larry and Gov, I enjoy this show very much & haven't missed any edition.

posted by Niner
