Use xbootmgr:

also check the optimization topic and install all linked hotfixes and run the prepSystem command.
About the audio problem: I had this kind of problem too.

Hey Guys,
Thank you for answering my question regarding a failing hard drive.
I have a brand new HD ready to go. However, one thing I forgot to mention is that my system was upgraded from Windows 7 using the downloaded version of Windows 8 upgrade so I don't have the installation media.
Is there a way to burn a Windows 8 DVD so that I can install from that, or do I have to reinstall the OEM version of Windows 7 and then apply the upgrade?
Thanks!
Mario
