The API itself doesn't include support for finger tracking, but some devs have used the raw depth camera to do finger tracking. Now you'll notice you're hand has to be pretty close to the camera, so finger tracking won't work standing 3' away.

 

I haven't tried it, but it does work with the Kinect SDK - http://candescentnui.codeplex.com/
