How do I download the videos?
- To download, right click the file type you would like and pick “Save target as…” or “Save link as…”
Why should I download videos from Channel9?
- It's an easy way to save the videos you like locally.
- You can save the videos in order to watch them offline.
- If all you want is to hear the audio, you can download the MP3!
Which version should I choose?
- If you want to view the video on your PC, Xbox or Media Center, download the High Quality WMV file (this is the highest quality version we have available).
- If you'd like a lower bitrate version, to reduce the download time or cost, then choose the Medium Quality WMV file.
- If you have a Zune, WP7, iPhone, iPad, or iPod device, choose the low or medium MP4 file.
- If you just want to hear the audio of the video, choose the MP3 file.
Right click “Save as…”
- High Quality WMV (PC, Xbox, MCE)
- MP3 (Audio only)
- Mid Quality WMV (Lo-band, Mobile)
- High Quality MP4 (iPad, PC)
- MP4 (iPod, Zune HD)
In this episode of Visual Studio Toolbox, we talk about reuse, something we want as much of as we can get. We look at how you can create your own item template. We take an XAML splash screen and turn it into an item template that shows up when in the Add New Item dialog box. Then, we take a look at the VSIX Explorer and Export Template Wizard extensions and see how they make it easy for us to create a .vsix file—with that file, other developers can easily install (or uninstall) the splash screen item template.

Item Templates, will it work for c++ code with window info in a .rc file ?
I think this is a good show...
thumps up !!!
It would be nice if the videos would actually play :(
They freeze about 70% of the time no matter if you use the web player or Media Player. The probelm is across multiple PCs and browers/OS versions...
Jeff,
Are you seeing the freezing only when you watch the video online? Or are you also seeing it if you download the video and run it locally?
Robert
Nice tools!
No answer ?
Should i take that as a no ? Then this feature sucks!
the video doesn't work on the browser (I'm using IE9)
and it's horribly freezing when I run the HQ WMV version on the WMP v12, using win7 enterprise..
Thanks for the video
I am not seeing any problems with the video in my browser (IE 9) or with the HQ WMV. Jeff and engwal, where are you guys located?
Robert
@Gordon: You cannot export templates for C++. I have forwarded your comments to the C++ team.
Robert
@rogreen it works on my browser now! not sure what was wrong with the streaming one hour ago..thanks.
@engwal:Glad to hear it is working now.
