There are dcs however in Hong Kong which is very nearby. The signup experience though to use those DCs in Hong Kong is not at all ideal.

Ha ha. No I am not still there, I mean i never left Microsoft or my team. I just worked over there for 3 months.

No comments on the data centers....

I am happy to say that people I spoke to were very open to the idea of Azure. Many had no idea though that we even care about OSS/PHP the stacks they care about.
