Before yesterday I had never contemplated how I could unit test the behavior of a system to insure that the correct version of assemblies were loaded. But then after the previous episodes where I first showed you how WF4 has some unusual rules for assembly resolution and second how you can use Microsoft.Activities.dll to apply the standard CLR rules I realized that I was going to have to write some unti tests that could verify that my solution was really correct. As it turns out this kind of testing is not simple, I came up with something that works and feels pretty good so in the event that you might need to do similar testing you can read about the solution on my blog and watch this episode for some commentary.
