Vincent Encontre from IntuiLab demonstrates a scenario for an innovative banking application for Microsoft Surface that will provide customers with an entirely new, collaborative banking experience.  IntuiLab is developing solutions for Surface for a wide variety of industries including public sector, retail, banking and media.

Tag 7 war der letzte Tag auf der CeBit.  Nach so einer Woche war ich fast fertig aber trotzdem habe ich genug Energie gefunden mit ein paar Leute zu reden.  Ich habe mit Marc Mikulla (Second Unit Service) hinter den Kulissen des „Produktkinos“ getroffen und habe gelernt wie die Microsoft-Messepräsentationen funktioniert.  Danach war ich bei Sascha Lemke und Ezechias Emmanuel von der Firma Vandinburg.  Sie haben Sprachsteuerung mit Windows demonsiert. Ich habe auch die Chance gehabt mit Programmier-Nachwuchs - der Junior Technik Club für Computerspiele zu sprechen und Dr. Uwe Groth (VDI) erzählte über das Projekt „JET – Jugend Entdeckt Technik“.

Am Tag 5 auf der CeBit durfte ich ein bisschen hinter den Kulissen gucken.  Björn Schneider (ITaCS) führt durch den Server-Raum, erklärt das Microsoft-Messenetzwerk und weiß, wozu 6 Kilometer Kabel nötig sind.  Auch dabei, Helmut Otto (OSST) präsentiert ISA Server Appliances.   Und einer von meinen Lieblingsvideoclips, Carsten Schmitt (Max Planck Inst. für Informatik) zeigt mir, wie ich als Mann aussehen würde.

First up is the Samsung Q1 Ultra UMPC (no direct link here, you’ve got to enter “Q1” into their tag search). This time around your handheld touch-sensitive computing device is a bit smaller and a bit lighter, all while packing a 1024x600 pixel display, HSDPA data, and a new integrated thumb-board. The Origami category is clearly entering v2 here, and it’s looking glorious.

Also on the interwebs today a new and gorgeous toy in the form of E-Ten’s Glofiish X800. Evolving beyond the X500 (what was already the most potent Windows Mobile device without a keyboard), the X800 packs HSDPA and a video call camera in a fabulously glossy skin. Sure it’ll cost close the same amount as your little sister’s portable computer, but that’s why you save money by skipping things like protein and laundry.
