      <title>BBC iPlayer to Integrate with Windows Live Messenger</title>
      <description><![CDATA[ <p>The BBC has is launching a new version of their popular <a shape="rect" href="http://beta.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/tv" shape="rect">iPlayer</a> service, which connects users to the BBC’s audio (radio) and video (TV) programs. The updated player, set to launch into beta by month-end, will offer new social features including integration with Facebook, Twitter and Windows Live Messenger. </p><p>Users will be able to link their BBC account to the above social services. They can then tweet or share on Facebook what they’re watching.       <title>Hack: Watch BBC&amp;rsquo;s iPlayer on Windows Mobile</title>
      <description><![CDATA[ <p>In the UK, the BBC iPlayer allows residents to watch full-length TV episodes on their computers or select mobile phones. But unfortunately, Windows Mobile phones didn’t make the list of approved devices. Since there’s no official client for WiMo users, <a href="http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?s=494e134049a4928fd1a026f76506592f&amp;u=290779">a hacker</a> over on the <a href="http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=475641">XDA-Developers forum</a> decided he would figure out a way for making the iPlayer’s mobile interface work on Windows Mobile. </p><p>If you <strong>live in the UK</strong> and have an <strong>HTC Diamond</strong> (more models may be added later), you can try the following steps to hack your phone.<strong>* </strong></p><p>First, you’ll need to get a copy of <a href="http://www.coreplayer.com/">CorePlayer</a> – the only Windows Mobile Media Player that can handle H.264 and AAC formats. <a href="http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3227776&amp;postcount=45">Associate .mov files</a> with the player.&nbsp; Also make sure you have the <a href="http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=e3821449-3c6b-42f1-9fd9-0041345b3385&amp;displaylang=en">Net framework 3.5</a> installed.</p><p>Finally, install the iPlayer files: <a href="http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?s=494e134049a4928fd1a026f76506592f&amp;attachmentid=150697&amp;d=1233018341">iPlayer.cab</a>.       <description><![CDATA[ <p>O BBC iPlayer é um sucesso tremendo no Reino Unido, chegando a ser responsável por 10% de todo tráfego de Internet lá. Eles mostraram no PDC 2008 uma nova versão do iPlayer que utiliza o Live Services e dá destaque ao <a shape="rect" href="http://www.mesh.com" target="_blank" shape="rect">Live Mesh</a>. Com o poder de sincronização do Mesh, é possível sempre ter acesso ao conteúdo em diversos dispositivos como mostra o vídeo. Não somente isso, pois o Mesh permite também a sincronização do exato ponto que o usuário parou de assistir algo em um notebook, por exemplo, e recomeça do mesmo ponto no celular. No vídeo, que está em horrível qualidade, é demonstrado o novo iPlayer feito em Silverlight que é instalado através do Live Mesh no PC e no Windows Mobile. Recomendo ver a versão em alta qualidade no <a shape="rect" href="http://www.microsoftpdc.com" target="_blank" shape="rect">site oficial do PDC 2008</a>.
